Choose where your training lives now. The finished guide will walk through export, exercise matching, and a review step before anything joins your log.
Move from Hevy
- Export your workout history from Hevy.
- Choose the Hevy importer and add the export file.
- Review exercise matches, units, and dates before importing.
Kohlrabi vs Hevy.
Hevy is a polished, popular tracker — this is just an honest look at where the checkmarks land, including a few Hevy has that we don't.

Hevy's free tier caps routines and history depth; Pro removes the caps. If you love the social feed and the Watch app, Hevy is genuinely great at those — we don't try to match them.
Move from MacroFactor
- Export the training records you want to move.
- Choose the MacroFactor importer and add the export file.
- Confirm units and exercise matches in the preview.
Kohlrabi vs MacroFactor.
MacroFactor pairs training with serious nutrition coaching — an honest look at the tradeoffs, including what they have that we don't.

MacroFactor Workouts connects to MacroFactor Nutrition, so training and diet coaching live in one subscription. If you want evidence-based nutrition coaching alongside your log, that's the reason to pay for it.
Move from Strong
- Export your Strong workout history.
- Choose the Strong importer and add the file.
- Check duplicate workouts and mapped exercises before importing.
Kohlrabi vs Strong.
Strong is the veteran simple logger — an honest look at where the checkmarks land, including a few Strong has that we don't.
| Feature | Kohlrabi | Strong |
|---|---|---|
| Free to use | Free, forever | Free · Pro $4.99/mo |
| Native iPhone app | Web app (PWA) | ✓ |

Strong's free tier is generous for logging but caps custom routines at 3; Pro is $4.99/month or $29.99/year. Its calculators and Watch app are genuinely useful — we leave the rest timer out on purpose to keep logging to fewer taps.
Move from Liftosaur
- Export or copy the program and log data you want to keep.
- Choose the Liftosaur importer and add the supported file.
- Review program structure and exercise matches before importing.
Kohlrabi vs Liftosaur.
Liftosaur is the most customizable tracker out there — an honest look at the tradeoffs, including what it has that we don't.
| Feature | Kohlrabi | Liftosaur |
|---|---|---|
| Free to use | Free, forever | Free |
| Paid plan | None — free forever | None — open source |
| Native iPhone app | Web app (PWA) | ✓ |
| Works offline | ✓ | ✓ |

| Rest timer | No, on purpose | ✓ |

| Scriptable programs (Liftoscript) | ✕ | ✓ |
| Open source | ✕ | ✓ |
| Export your data | ✓ JSON | ✓ |
Liftosaur's Liftoscript lets you program progression logic as code — nothing else touches it for customizability, and it's open source. We trade that depth for a simpler setup: no scripting to learn before your first workout.
Import a CSV
- Download the column template.
- Match your date, exercise, weight, reps, and optional RPE columns.
- Fix flagged rows in the preview, then import.
Import to Kohlrabi
- Get your export file from the app above — the app's own export or a CSV both work.
- In Kohlrabi, open Settings → Import and choose the file.
- Review the exercise matches and flagged rows in the preview, then import. Nothing joins your log until you confirm.

Bring your training with you
Upload a workout-history CSV or MacroFactor spreadsheet to import saved workouts.
History: columns date,workout_name,exercise,set,reps,weight_lb,rpe,tags,notes — dates as YYYY-MM-DD. Hevy exports and MacroFactor workout-history CSVs work as-is.
Saved workouts: a MacroFactor program/workout spreadsheet (.xlsx) — rep ranges become targets, RIR becomes RPE, warmup sets become Warmup tags.
Import
3 workouts, 48 sets found in your Hevy export. 1 needs your review, 8 auto-matched.
Import
✓ 3 workouts, 48 sets imported into your history.
Export screens and formats can change. Each guide will be checked against the source app before launch.
Keep it free.
